I love to browse the yarn aisle when I go to the craft store. I love to see the new colors and yarn contents and when I came across these cute little Yarn Bee Lil’ Dollops I couldn’t help but buy up a few in pretty ombre colors.

But what to do with them? I never have a project in mind when I’m just browsing and that’s why I have skeins and skeins of pretty colors with no plan in sight.

I wanted to do something functional with these cuties. They are cotton, after all and cotton says washcloth to me. I’m really good at following patterns, but this time I wanted to try something on my own.

So I set out to get 2 little washcloths from each skein of Lil’ Dollop that I bought. After some trial and error, I was able to end up with 2 washcloths, about 6″ x 6″ from each skein. I was even able to add a border so the piece looks finished.

You can use these cloths in the powder room to wash your face or in the kitchen as an alternative to smelly sponges for your dishes. They are super soft and durable using this cotton yarn, but you could use any brand you prefer or have on hand.
